Maryellen joined Standish Compliance in 2024, bringing 30 years of
experience across the public and private sectors.

Prior to joining Standish, Maryellen spent over eight years as a member of
the SEC’s specialized Private Funds Unit, focusing exclusively on private
fund advisers.

She has held senior compliance roles at firms including TPG, Blackstone,
Fortis Investments, Affiliated Managers Group, and John Hancock
Financial Services, where she was instrumental in building and maintaining
compliance programs—including all ranges of firm sizes.

Maryellen holds a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from UT
Austin and a BS in Finance from Fairfield University. She earned her
CRCP through the FINRA Institute at Georgetown and is a frequent
speaker at compliance conferences and webinars.
