Maria has over 17 years of extensive experience in the compliance and audit fields.

Maria joined Standish Management in May 2012 and is in charge of the compliance. Prior to joining Standish Management, Maria worked within the compliance department of a life insurance company. Maria started her career working for almost 6 years as an auditor where she focused on the banking and insurance sectors, first at Ernst&Young Bucharest and then at PwC Luxembourg as Manager.

Maria earned a BS in Banking and Stock Exchange from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and has been an ACCA affiliate since February 2014. Furthermore, Maria is also Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist since November 2021. She is an active member of ALCO (Luxembourg Association of Compliance Officers) and she participates actively to compliance related working groups.
