David has over 15 years of SBIC fund administration and consulting experience and has been active in the SBIC industry since 1990. David works closely with Standish clients over their entire life cycle and serves as in-house SBIC regulatory and operational expert, providing counsel in the areas of fund formation, SBIC licensing, financial modeling, distribution strategies and regulatory examination preparation.
Prior to Standish, he was a Senior Analyst and Manager with the Small Business Administration. He oversaw the regulatory and financial investment practices of a portfolio of SBIC venture and mezzanine funds with $2.2 billion of capital. David has served on the SBA’s regulations and SBIA’s CFO training staffs. Before SBA, David was the finance officer for a publicly traded bank and served as a consultant to the financial services industry.
David earned his B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
